FRP Water Gully Cover

FRP gully cover and frame for surface water drainage in roads, pathways and parking areas. Perforated design allows efficient water drainage while supporting vehicle loads.

FRP Water Gully Cover

The FRP Water Gully Cover from Himalaya is designed for efficient surface water collection and drainage in roads, parking areas, footpaths, industrial facilities and urban infrastructure projects. The perforated or slotted design enables rapid water ingress during heavy rainfall while preventing debris accumulation. Manufactured from high-strength FRP/GRP materials, the cover offers excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight handling and long service life compared to conventional cast iron and RCC alternatives. The integrated cover and frame assembly provides secure seating and reliable performance under pedestrian and vehicular traffic conditions. Available in multiple load classes and custom sizes to suit municipal, commercial and infrastructure project requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

FRP (Fibre Reinforced Polypropylene) and GRP (Glass Reinforced Polypropylene) refer to the same product. GRP specifically emphasises glass fibres as the reinforcement material, while FRP is the broader industry term. All Himalaya FRP/GRP products use glass fibre reinforcement with a polyester resin matrix for maximum strength and corrosion resistance.
Himalaya FRP/GRP manhole covers are available across all BS EN 124:2015 load classes from A15 (1.5 tonnes) to F900 (90 tonnes). D400 (40 tonnes) is the most commonly supplied class and is rated for road carriageways, national highways and heavy vehicular areas.
Yes. FRP/GRP is completely immune to acids, alkalis, chlorides and H2S gas - the primary cause of failure in cast iron and concrete covers. This makes Himalaya FRP covers the specified choice for chemical industrial estates, sewage networks, coastal areas and any environment where aggressive chemicals are present.
Yes. Himalaya manufactures FRP/GRP covers in custom sizes from standard dimensions up to 8ft×8ft and beyond. Options include logo embossing, custom colour finishes, project-specific load classes and special sealing configurations. Lead times for non-standard items apply.
Himalaya FRP/GRP products are tested and certified to BS EN 124:2015 standards across all supplied load classes. The company holds ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification and operates one of India's few dedicated 100-ton in-house load testing facilities for FRP covers.
FRP/GRP covers are approximately 60–70% lighter than equivalent cast iron covers and 40–50% lighter than RCC covers of the same size. This dramatically reduces installation effort, eliminates the need for mechanical lifting equipment in most situations and lowers project costs.
