Himalaya FRP Moulded Gratings are manufactured using high-strength glass fibre reinforcement with premium polyester or vinyl ester resin systems to deliver exceptional strength, corrosion resistance and long-term performance. Designed for industrial flooring, walkways, drainage channels, platforms and access systems, these gratings provide a lightweight yet durable alternative to conventional steel gratings. FRP moulded grating is a one-piece panel made by moulding glass fibre with polyester or vinylester resin into a square mesh. It is used for industrial flooring, walkways, platforms, stair treads, trench covers and drainage channels, especially where steel would rust. Himalaya manufactures FRP moulded gratings in multiple mesh sizes and thicknesses.
Himalaya FRP moulded gratings come in:
  • Mesh sizes: 38×38 mm and 50×50 mm
  • Thicknesses: 25, 30, 38 and 50 mm
  • Standard panel: 1220 × 3600 mm, cut to your required size
  • Colours: DA Grey and Yellow
The right thickness depends on the span between supports and the load the grating will carry. Longer spans and heavier loads such as trolleys or vehicles need thicker gratings. Pedestrian walkways on closely spaced supports can use thinner panels. Send us your support span and load, and we will recommend the correct thickness and mesh.
Vinylester resin FRP gratings have higher chemical resistance. They are preferred for chemical plants, effluent treatment plants, fertiliser units and coastal sites. Polyester resin FRP gratings are a cost-effective choice for general industrial flooring, walkways and platforms where chemical exposure is low.
FRP moulded grating does not rust and never needs painting, so maintenance cost stays near zero. It is lighter than steel and easier to cut and install on site. It does not conduct electricity, which makes it safer around electrical equipment. A grit-top anti-slip surface is available for wet or oily areas.
