Himalaya FRP/GRP manhole covers are available across all BS EN 124:2015 load classes from A15 (1.5 tonnes) to F900 (90 tonnes). D400 (40 tonnes) is the most commonly supplied class and is rated for road carriageways, national highways and heavy vehicular areas.

Yes. FRP/GRP is completely immune to acids, alkalis, chlorides and H2S gas - the primary cause of failure in cast iron and concrete covers. Yes. Himalaya manufactures FRP/GRP covers in custom sizes from standard dimensions up to 8ft×8ft and beyond. Options include logo embossing, custom colour finishes, project-specific load classes and special sealing configurations. Lead times for non-standard items apply.

Himalaya FRP/GRP products are tested and certified to BS EN 124:2015 standards across all supplied load classes. The company holds ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification and operates one of India's few dedicated 100-ton in-house load testing facilities for FRP covers.

FRP/GRP covers are approximately 60–70% lighter than equivalent cast iron covers and 40–50% lighter than RCC covers of the same size. This dramatically reduces installation effort, eliminates the need for mechanical lifting equipment in most situations and lowers project costs.
